Frequently Asked Questions on The Little Prince

What does the story of The Little Prince mean?

Like all good children's stories, Antoine de Saint-Exupery's classic tale of a boy wanderer searching for a friend is about much more than meets the eye. It warns adults not to look at the world with a weary eye, blinded by the material constructs man has created for himself to be happy. It reminds to value the relationships we have with others and to look at how we can be responsible with them. It is also about so much more, and any grown up coming to the play will uncover surprising, perhaps inexpressible, ideas.

Who should see The Little Prince?

Anyone and everyone! This production is aimed to cater for the attentional capacities of children as well as the fertile minds of adults. We especially welcome families to come for a fun-filled night out. We respectfully ask that no child younger than 4 years old be made to sit still in a theatre for one and a half hours, however.

I hear you have a show for charities. What is that all about?

There will be a compliemtary show for children from Gracehaven Children’s Home and other charities that care for underprivileged children on the 27th July. We will also be preparing book gift bags containing items to promote reading among these children. As Parables is committed to finding ways to build community through theatre, we hope to use this production to improve access to the imaginative world of theatre, and promote reading, among these children. Ticket sales help to make this complimentary show possible, so theatregoers will be doing a little for children in need by patronising the show, as well as enjoying a magical night out.

What time will the show end?

We aim to have the show end by 9.35 pm, so no need to worry about going way past your child's bed-time.

Is the ticket order system secure?

Yes. Rest assured that The Parables Company does not store your personal information provided for your online ticket order after the production has completed its run. Card payments are processed through PayPal's renowned, secure payment system, and we do not retain your card details. Your printed payment receipt will grant you entry to the play
